International Appalachian Trail - Thru-Hiker Update


	On August 5th Ray Hicks of Naples ,Florida became the 88th hiker to complete a thru-hike of the IAT/SIA from Katahdin to Cap Gaspe. He described it as very difficult, but a really spectacular experience. He lost a few pounds, but seamed in great shape after his approximately 600 miles on the trail. Dick Anderson and Walter Anderson were happy to meet him in Yarmouth ,Maine on his way home, to congratulate him and thank him for making a contribution to the development of the trail. He made many friends along the trail, including Cheryl Stevens(caretaker for the Roach Farm Campsite) who assisted him when he encountered equipment problems. He said it was an experience he would never forget.
