On Saturday September 15 Maine Chapter Board members Dick Anderson and Will Richard traveled to Fredericton, New Brunswick to participate in the Annual General Meeting of the New Brunswick Trails Council.
Dick gave a presentation on the history of the IAT/SIA and Will presented a power point description of the many marketing efforts that the IAT/SIA has been involved in over the last 13 years.
Both sessions were well attended and Will and Dick had a great time telling all those present about the IAT/SIA. The event gave both Will and Dick an opportunity to see old friends like Jane Murphy, Poul Jorgensen, David Peterson, Denyse Zyveniuk and Brian Clark, all members of the New Brunswick hiking community that we have worked with since 1994.
Will and Dick also staffed an information table and distributed lots of printed information describing the route of the trail and some of the places through which the trail passes.
Our New Brunswick partners are committed to continuing to upgrade and improve the section of the IAT/SIA that passes through the northwestern part of their province.
