Jim Roland "Mechanical Man" IAT/SIA 2006(Katahdin to Cap Gaspe) is now in on the IAT/SIA in Newfoundland and Labrador. He began his hike there a few weeks ago. A few pictures and short report follow.
Three pictures of long distance hiker Jim Rowland "Mechanical Man" who stpped off in Stephenville for a couple of days to give his feet a break before he hiked over the Lewis Hills and the Blomidon Mountains . I was talking to Paul Wylezol today and he said he met him yesterday in Gros Morne Park where he is about to start the Ling Range Traverse.
Second picture Jim ( red shirt) is with Kerry Lynne Blanchard our JCP Project Coordinator and Adam Alexander, trail worker foreman.. The last picture he is with Debra Coughlin,Economic Development Officer,Long Range Economic Development Board
The other two pictures are of Paul Wylezol and Bob Diamond in the area where the work crew have recently completed the trail linking Cold Brook Road to Loggers School road.
