IAT/SIA members extended a joyous and loud greeting to two recent hikers of the IAT/SIA trail from Mt. Katahdin to Cape Gaspe. The honored hikers, Tony Larson(Yanni) and Andrejs Brolis (Big Cat) were greeted this Sunday afternoon(7/29/07) to a background of Celtic music at the Brian Belou Pub in Portland,Maine.
Over several pints of brew Tony and Andrejs treated us all to a recount of trail descriptions and experiences. They enthusiastically described the hike in glowing terms and were appreciative of trail conditions and the gracious receptions by many folks along the way. They plan to complete the IAT/SIA in the future.
Also participating were Tony’s parents, Pam and Mike Petit and Andrejs’ friend, Laura Meridith . Attending IAT/SIA greeters were: Dick Anderson, Walter Anderson, Earl Raymond, Loren Johnson, Don Hudson, and Bob Lemieux.
