The “SIA/IAT Theme Song” composed by Maine Chapter Board Member Eric Horschak, was inspired by the 2005 annual meeting of the SIA/IAT at Shin Pond Village in northern Maine. Eric was invited as a guest and was provided a log cabin for the weekend. He didn’t bring his guitar with him which he regretted the minute he stepped into the cabin. He thought to himself if there was ever a place to create and play the guitar it would be here. He decided not to kick himself too hard for leaving it at home and went to bed early for a change and read his book. The next day he went to the presentations and the following day went on the field trips visiting the future trail locations along the East Branch. He really liked the group and what they were working towards. All the while he had “itchy-fingers.” He left the weekend
feeling inspired and when he picked up his guitar when he got home the “SIA/IAT Theme Song” came pouring out and as if he had been composing it all weekend.
